After a career in sales and management consultancy, Laurent Triloff decided to pursue a long-held ambition: opening his own wine shop. Now a CAVAVIN franchisee in Perpignan, he shares his journey and explains what led him to join the network.
A Career Change Driven by Passion
Laurent first discovered the world of wine during a year spent in San Francisco while studying at business school, exploring vineyards and wine bars.
Back in France, he pursued a career in sales before setting up his own management and customer relations consultancy and training business, which he ran for around 15 years.
When the Covid pandemic brought his consultancy work to a halt, his passion for wine resurfaced. He decided it was time to open his own wine shop.
CAVAVIN’s Support: A Deciding Factor
With no professional experience in the wine industry or established network of winemakers, Laurent naturally turned to franchising. After exploring several concepts, he chose CAVAVIN, impressed by the comprehensive support offered at every stage.
He also values the freedom to build his own product range from the approximately 1,800 wines and spirits available through CAVAVIN’s national ordering platform at the time of his interview, while sourcing additional wines from producers in the Roussillon region.
Thanks to the growth of his business and the support of the CAVAVIN network, Laurent has been able to recruit two members of staff and is now considering opening a second shop.
